What is Taekwondo?
Taekwondo, our core martial art that we teach, is a Korean martial art. It is the national sport of South Korea. This martial art is regarded as the world’s most popular martial art in terms of number of practitioners.
In Korean, Tae means “foot”, Kwon means “fist”, and Do means “way.” So Taekwondo may be translated as the Way of the Foot and Fist. Taekwondo is known for its emphasis on kicking techniques, which distinguishes it from other martial arts. Taekwondo's popularity has resulted, as with many other arts, in combining combat techniques, self-defense, sport, exercise, meditation and philosophy. As of 2000 the sparring aspect of Taekwondo is an official Olympic sporting event!

What is Sport Taekwondo?
As the popularity of taekwondo grows so does its modern sport form, Sport Taekwondo. The sparring and forms events in Sport Taekwondo is very exciting and highly competitive. The sparring event is an official medal sport in the Olympic Summer Games! It made its debut appearance at the 2000 Sydney Games. Forms, also known as Sport Poomsae, is a world event which hopes to also be an Olympic event. Throughout time, USA has made a great name for itself in the World and Olympic Games! Now you can share that same dream!
What is Hapkido?
Hapkido is another Korean martial arts that prides itself on effective self-defense using such techniques as joint locks, pressure points, and throws. The purpose of most engagements is to get near for a close strike, lock, or throw. Similar applications used in Jiu-Jitsu and Judo is fused together in Hapkido.
What is Escrima?
Escrima is the Filipino martial art of stick and sword fighting. There are many different styles of Escrima in the Phillippines. The system our curriculum follows is the Doce Pares system. Mainly focusing on using one stick, rattan, to defend one’s self. However, two rattan stick curriculum is also provided.
